The Minnesota USAFA Parents Club gathers on a Saturday morning in early December, to pack-up a variety of food items that the parents contributed, for the Cadets to receive a care package to help them better prepare for final exams. Each MN Cadet will receive a care package.
The typical process is follows:
If all goes exactly as planned, your son/daughter will have the box within 12 hours of us packing them. But delays happen so it can take a few days. Please be patient. The boxes will arrive in time to give our cadets a boost with upcoming finals.
This event is sponsored by our Parents Club at no cost to our families. However, we will gladly take donations to help offset our shipping costs. We will have a collection basket onsite, or you can donate through the website at https://www.mnpc.afaparents.org/store/p5/Donation.html.

The typical process is follows:
- You arrive by 7:30 AM with 100 individually wrapped goodies. Some parents bake their own, while others bring store bought items such as granola bars, hot cocoa packets, etc. We pack the boxes very tightly so things that will squish like cupcakes or filled truffles are discouraged.
- You will receive an empty 10”x 6” x 6” box to fill with treats for your cadet. Feel free to bring a note or small gift to include in their box if you wish.
- A label with your son/daughter’s name and squadron will be attached.
- Parent volunteers will pack boxes for Academy Leaders and for any Minnesota cadet whose family is not able to attend this event.
- We will deliver the boxes to Delta Cargo at MSP by 10:00 AM for the next available flight to DEN.
- A friend of the club will pick up the boxes in Denver and will deliver them to AFA.
- Upperclassmen in Sijan and Vandy will distribute them to the CQ desks of each cadet’s squadron.
